Weather mainly misty but with some lovely autumn colours | |||||
The 'B-' group walk started just south of Sizergh Castle and followed the main club walk route along Scout Scar , There meeting up with the 'B' walk and allowing them to share our lunch stop, Then onto Cunswick Scar and Scar Head, with views "as far as the eye could see" (ie not very far), before the turn to Kendal and back via the golf course, Kettlewell Crag and the Fell, and then into town for refreshments at the Shakespeare Inn. | |||||

The C walk started at Levens Hall and went through the deer park to Sizergh Castle then up a gradual ascent to Helsington Barrows and Scout Scar where the mist defeated the views of the lakeland fells and Morecambe Bay. Cutting off to the old Kendal Race course and finishing with a riverside walk into Kendal. | |||||

The A walk started at Levens Bridge on A6 (as did the B+) and headed over Oxenholm and in to Kendal by the castle. | |||||

Linear walk getting off with A walkers and heading through Levens Hall Deer Park, then past Sizergh Castle and onto Scout & Cunswick Scars for good views, ending up going into Kendal via Kendal Fell & the golf course and a final riverside walk to the coach park. > | |||||
